Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of packages do you offer?

I keep things as simple as possible and provide more final products for less than most other videographers who have a similar style/quality of work. When you hire me, you get unlimited hours of filming on your wedding day (I show up when you’d like and I don’t leave until the party’s over!) and I create a range of final films with your footage: a short 60 second sneak peek, a full-length documentary edit feature film, and a polished 10-14 minute highlight video. Plus I’ll send you all the raw footage for free. When I sign up for a wedding, I believe in only bringing the best of the best of what I have to offer.

I charge $4250 for my all-inclusive services. If you have special requests for final products or smaller ceremonies, we can put a custom package together. Inquire to see about off-season discounts!

How would you describe your style?

My films are a blend of documentary, story-telling, and cinematic — I feel the most compelling shots I get throughout the day are the ones where my couples have forgotten that there are people with cameras there, so being a fly on the wall and capturing things as they happen naturally and getting those organic moments is what I strive for. I’m laid back and feel that is reflected in my shooting style. I like to be stealthy, unobtrusive, and blend in as much as possible.I don’t do much posing of my couples, though if I can steal you for a couple minutes I always love to get some walking / motion shots if your photographer isn’t already having you do that.

Do I get to pick the music in the films?

Music is one of the most important parts of making beautiful wedding films! I am definitely open to style suggestions, but in order to avoid copyright infringement I have to use royalty free music in your films. Fortunately I have subscriptions to licensing sites with lots of great options. With Instagram Reels I do have a little bit of flexibility to at least make a sneak peek or other cuts with any song you’d like.

How do you work with photographers?

This is a great question. A large portion of my referrals actually come from photographers (which I take as a sign that they enjoy working with me!). As I mentioned before, my easy-going personality and my awareness of the photographers’ movements allows me to get along really well with them and build great chemistry. While I’m always happy to carry my weight as part of the team, I typically let your photographer run the show and I shadow them throughout the day to ensure that I’m not in their shots and vice versa. Communication is key. I’ve heard horror stories of videographers being pushy and/or setting up gear in inconvenient places, and I am definitely not that guy. I work hard to make your photographer’s life as easy as possible while still managing to get the shots I need.

Is drone footage included?

Absolutely! I don’t go anywhere without my drone :) I have my Part 107 FAA license and love to fly — those dreamy aerial shots are some of my favorite ways to open up my films. Getting my drone in the air and getting those establishing shots is one of the first things I do when I arrive at a venue. If the weather cooperates and it’s not restricted air space, I’ll be flying.

We love your work! What’s the next step?

You can fill out an inquiry form or give me a call! We can go over details of the package and answer any additional questions you might have. If you have no extra questions, I will then put a contract for you to take a look at. Down the road, I will send out a questionnaire and also set up a time to zoom or meet in person to chat about details as we get closer to your big day.

There are lots of great videographers out there. Why should we choose you?

Yes, there certainly are!

Here’s the short answer: You should choose me to film your wedding if my style of films lines up with what you’re looking for.

Here’s the longer answer: I put my heart and soul into every film I make. I bust my ass on your wedding day and don’t leave the party until I know I’ve got magic in my memory cards. I don’t hit that export button until I am 100% convinced that each film is the best that I am possibly capable of.

I am genuinely moved by the love stories I am there to capture, and during the editing process I do everything in my power to recreate those exact same emotions that I felt on your wedding day. In the dozens of hours I spend editing each film, I hear pieces of your vows and the speeches of those closest to you hundreds of times. By the end of this process I feel this really personal connection to my clients. It’s a strange thing that happens, but as I become emotionally invested in your love story, I believe it shines through in my films.

I think it is tough to find a videographer who will care more about your love story and your films than I will.
